The Silverdale Visual Priority Indicators feature enhances the Shopfloor module by color-coding each Work Order tile according to the day its parent Manufacturing Order was created. This provides a fast, intuitive visual reference to help manufacturing teams spot and prioritize jobs by age or urgency—improving production flow and reducing oversight.
Why It Matters
In high-volume manufacturing environments, tracking the age or urgency of Work Orders by sequence or name can be inefficient. With this feature, teams can simply glance at the Shopfloor dashboard and immediately recognize:
- Expedited or older orders
- Jobs created earlier in the week that may need attention
- The day-by-day workload distribution
How It Works
When a Manufacturing Order (MO) is created, the system detects its creation day (e.g., Monday, Tuesday). Each weekday is mapped to a unique HEX color code defined in Silverdale Settings.
All Work Orders (WOs) tied to that MO will display the associated color in their Shopfloor tile, making it instantly recognizable.
Configurable Settings
Admins can configure HEX codes for each day of the week in:
Settings > Silverdale > Manufacturing > WO Day-Based Color Mapping
Example (default values, fully customizable):
Day | Color Name | HEX Code |
---|---|---|
Monday | Blue | #0000FF |
Tuesday | Orange | #FFA500 |
Wednesday | Pink | #FFC0CB |
Thursday | Green | #008000 |
Friday | Purple | #800080 |
