The Silverdale Sales Auto-Invoicing feature transforms the traditional manual invoicing workflow by automatically generating invoices immediately after a Sales Order is confirmed. Designed to save time and reduce manual effort, this feature allows businesses to accelerate their sales and accounting processes with full control over how invoices are handled.

How It Works

Once enabled, this feature offers two flexible modes:

1. Create Draft Invoice (Only)

Ideal for companies that require a final review before posting an invoice.

  • When a Sales Order is confirmed:
    • A Draft Invoice is automatically created.
    • Users can open, edit, or approve the invoice manually before posting.

2. Post Invoice Automatically

Perfect for businesses that want full automation with no manual intervention.

  • When a Sales Order is confirmed:
    • The system instantly creates and posts the invoice.
    • Journal entries are generated automatically, making the invoice official.

User Steps

  1. Navigate to Settings > Silverdale Extensions > Sales.
  2. Enable the Sales Auto-Invoicing option.
  3. Choose one of the two modes:
    • Create Draft Invoice
    • Post Invoice Automatically
  4. Confirm any Sales Order.
  5. Based on your configuration:
    • A draft invoice will be created, or
    • A posted invoice will be generated instantly.

Key Benefits

  • Speeds up invoicing workflows by automating manual steps.
  • Reduces human error by enforcing consistent invoice generation.
  • Supports flexible review processes with draft or auto-posting options.
  • Improves cash flow visibility by accelerating invoice availability.

This feature is especially valuable for businesses with high transaction volumes or standardized billing processes. With Sales Auto-Invoicing, your sales team can focus on closing deals—while invoicing happens automatically in the background.
