In standard Odoo, event templates can be created and used immediately without any approval, which can result in inconsistent or unverified templates being used across different events.
This SME introduces an automated approval mechanism that enforces review and governance for all new Event Templates:
- When a new Event Template is created, the system automatically creates an activity assigned to the Event Manager group.
- Event Managers are notified to review and approve or reject the template.
- The Event Manager updates the template’s Stage/Status field to reflect its final decision.
- During event creation, only Approved Templates will appear in the template selection list.
This ensures that every event follows standardized and verified configurations, maintaining data integrity and visual consistency across all published events.
