Enhanced Event Category Analytics (Website views)

This feature enables event category pages (like Woodworking or Jewelry Making) to be tracked as distinct entities in Google Analytics and other marketing tools. It provides marketing and program teams with accurate insights into user engagement by event type.

In the current setup, event pages in Odoo are tracked using standard page view metrics. However, event category pages (e.g., Woodworking, Culinary, Metalwork) are not tagged or reported as separate content types in analytics tools like Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel. This limits visibility into which categories are attracting the most visitor traffic, impacting campaign optimization, content strategy, and overall marketing decisions.

To address this, the proposed SME introduces logic that allows each event category page to:

  • Be registered as a distinct content type or virtual page in analytics tools.
  • Include metadata or custom dimensions such as event_category, program_type, or tag.
  • Be monitored for scroll depth, bounce rate, CTA clicks (e.g., "Register Now"), and other behavioral indicators.
  • Allow marketing teams to retarget users based on interest (e.g., users who visited only "Woodworking" events).

These enhancements are compatible with Google Tag Manager and enable more accurate segmentation, reporting, and ad personalization across campaigns.
